Liam/Kevin
Liam didn't look up from his book right away, if only because there was no possible way this person, whoever they were, could be talking to him. Who in their right mind would single out the one guy who was hiding out in a corner of a huge party with a giant wolf at his feet and his entire face buried in a book? There was nothing about his body language that even suggested he might be open to socializing and somebody who ignored all of those signs had to be seven kinds of suicidal, right?
He did look up over the top of his book when the guy actually sat down near him, though, eyebrow raised in mild indignation. Now that he was forced to at least acknowledge his company with a look, he recognized the person who had decided to crash his party of one. Kevin Williamson.
It's not that Liam disliked the guy. Wouldn't go so far as to say that he liked him much either, for as short of a time as Kevin had officially been in Camelot for Liam to make that kind of judgement. He was nice enough, and clearly good with a weapon, but he was also... Liam had a hard time putting a finger on what rubbed him the wrong way.
He looked like a goddamn sun god.
There was nothing wrong with beautiful people, but from the moment Kevin had walked into Camelot's training rooms for the first time, Liam had made a point of keeping his distance. Couldn't tell you why, he just did. The guy was a beast on the training mats (even when he was getting his ass kicked by his own sister) and he might as well be a living, breathing Ken doll (Liam actually started calling him that in his own head).
Nothing was fair about that.
Grey Wind seemed to know something that Liam didn't so even though Liam was trying to make it clear that he was bothered, the Direwolf barely reacted to the intrusion. Normally if there was the slightest change in temperament from his human, Grey Wind would immediately be on all fours, teeth gnashing. Not this time, and Liam was annoyed by that almost as much as he was annoyed by the golden male model lounging on a cushion near him who was so good looking it actually pissed him off a little.
"Yeah?" Liam responded with a dry huff that wasn't quite a laugh, after a moment forcing his gaze back to the words on the page in front of him on principle. If Kevin wanted something from him, he'd have to try harder then that. "Guess it's too bad I don't have any manners, then."
