What: Stakeouts and heart to hearts, Jo style.
Where: London, UK
When: Thursday, January 30th, 2020. Sometime after this.
Warnings: TBD
Jo wasn’t the passive aggressive type, per say. She had no problem being as blunt as possible in order to make her point, with no consideration for someone else’s feelings. Feelings were useless. However, one could make the argument that there was a certain art to making a person sweat it out for a little while before she decided to open her mouth and let them have it.
Was she unhappy with Freya, and the girl’s most recently ill-advised life choices? Yes. But it did no good to yell at her, she already knew that from experience. It was much more effective if she instead killed Freya with the silent treatment, while also simultaneously forcing the girl to occupy the same cramped, enclosed space as her for an undisclosed amount of time with seemingly no end in sight. Jo’s car, while not exactly a matchbox, certainly wasn’t spacious enough to make the icy silence that existed inside the vehicle any less awkward. She wasn't above psychological torture as a tough love tactic.
And no, she wasn’t going to bother acknowledging the fact that she had been more concerned for the girl’s safety than anything else. She wasn’t Freya’s mother, or so she kept telling herself.
In any event, she still had a job to do, and she needed Freya to do it. Alright, she could have done it on her own, but for one thing, espionage was a whole lot easier when you had someone with Freya’s skills in your back pocket. For another, as previously mentioned, the silent treatment punishment. That was the great thing about stakeouts, it was a convenient excuse for both.
To pass the time until she decided to speak, Jo was presently stretched out in the back seat with Freya keeping watch from the front. Cleaning her gun extremely thoroughly, and not at all pointedly.
