Who: Harper Gray & Loren Olson
What: Crazy meets crazier
Where: One Eyed Jack's, Harper & Aaron's night club in Upper East Side, Manhattan
When: Friday night, May 18th 2018
Warnings: Probably nothing major, but TBD
Since Harper and Aaron had taken over ownership of the club, renamed and remodeled it in their own vision, it'd gotten quite the reputation for being one of the seediest places in the Upper East Side. The well-to-do rich didn't dare set foot in it if they didn't want to lose their valuables - or their lives - while there were also plenty of rich, less well-to-do people who couldn't get enough of the place, and the hot bed of back door, criminal activity it'd become. Plenty of dark corners for the rich and corrupt to conduct their dirty deals in private, or the once rich, still very corrupt who will do almost anything to make some quick cash. Nothing like a little greed to make a whole lot of people start acting desperate.
Celebrities, politicians, cops, lawyers, wannabe movie stars, mobsters, prostitutes. Anyone and everyone was welcome in the One Eyed Jack, as long as they paid the toll. Just like any royal institution, everyone paid taxes to the kingdom, and all that the king of this particular kingdom asked was that you pay a small monthly fee for the privilege of enjoying the night club for all of the many things that it had to offer. In return, the king and his queen offered completely anonymity, a place where you could conduct your shady business without the prying eyes of people and institutions who might try and get in the way of your fun. If there was one thing the One Eyed Jack wouldn't tolerate? It was someone ruining everyone's fun.
It was also, naturally, a place where a lot of reincarnates ended up gravitating towards on most nights. Not your typical reincarnates either, the do-gooding wholesome ones tended to steer clear of places like this, or remained blissfully ignorant to them completely. This wasn't just anyone's scene. One Eye Jack's was a place for the powerful, the rich, the morally questionable and the corrupt. Between One Eyed Jack's, Happy Endings and Here&Gone, members of the Resistance had their pick of where to go for a night to take care of some business or let off some steam, but unlike the other two, One Eyed Jack's offered a less exclusive guest list. If you had money to spend, you were always welcome here. If you had powers? Even better. But only the reincarnates and non-reincarnates with nerves of steel ended up in this place, once they knew who was ruling it.
Aaron and Harper already had quite the reputation around the city, but in here was where they really thrived. Aaron was usually the one who handled all of the business that came their way though Harper was often at his side to play along. People were afraid enough of him, but while Aaron was openly feared for his erratic temper and penchant for shooting people in his own club that he decided he didn't like, Harper was the truly unpredictable one of the pair. If you didn't already know her, you had no idea just how crazy she was until it was too late. Harper and Aaron came to you with smiles and laughs, but if you weren't paying close enough attention, you were likely to miss when those smiles turned dangerous.
When Harper wasn't by Aaron's side, she was usually dancing. They had their own hired dancers of course, women and men, they didn't discriminate, but there was nothing Harper loved more than getting her hands on a pole and turning it into her plaything. Everyone knew who she was, so no one dared to try and touch her like they might have the others. They admired the way she moved from a safe enough distance, the way her blond hair dyed at the tips in blue and pink fell over her shoulders in waves, the red and blue shorts that hugged her cheeks glittering in the dim lighting of the club, bending and twirling around like an acrobat for all the club to see. She usually either danced until she got tired of the music and went to threaten the DJ to change his set (or else), or until she found something even more interesting to play with.
Like her partner, Harper was something of a wild card.
