David had never actually been to London as a tourist. He'd come here on REDO tours, but that was different. Being on tour meant you were mostly confined to a hotel room, a practice room, and the venue where you would be performing. Also the location of the after party that you were almost always invited to, but most after parties usually took place in someone else's hotel room anyway. There wasn't really any time for sight seeing. Not that this really qualified as sight seeing, but it was already more of London than David had seen any other time he was here. It was also technically not real. The location they were zeroing in on was one of those weird places that had seemingly popped into existence out of nowhere, something connected to reincarnation that no one could figure out. David only knew that because by now, most of the known reincarnate places that had shown up had been mapped, so when they'd been able to narrow it down to some exact coordinates, this was the place they'd found. Chapeau de Poupe.
It was a weird name. David still couldn't really pronounce it without sounding stupid, so he just stuck to 'Casa de Werewolf'. It was somewhere near Regent Street in the West End, wherever that was. They realized once they got closer that it was actually a pretty huge shopping area. Populated enough that getting to the place unseen would be tricky, but not impossible. They definitely couldn't walk out there guns blazing, so David kept his personal arsenal carefully hidden on his person. He was aware of the gun on the inside of his jacket packing silver bullets and the silver knife sheathed against his calf under his pants, but unless necessary, he wasn't breaking those bad boys out until they were safely out of the public eye. Other than that, they stuck to the side streets, taking some creative routes that sometimes took them a little out of their way in order to reach the place without raising any eyebrows.
When David had first heard the rumors of a potential werewolf in London, he'd thought it was a funny joke, but they also looked into it pretty quickly. Reports of more than one person who heard howling coming from the general area, only on the night of a full moon. Any other day of the month and it might have been a different story, but once David had lined up the dates on the reports and realized they were all days when the moon was full, he felt justified in his paranoia. Sure, they were pretty far from London and there was no way that thing would probably make it over to their neck of the woods, but that wasn't the point, was it? Sam and Dean drove all over the country hunting monsters, they did it to save people, and he and Hannah had a very distinct advantage over Sam and Dean. Thanks to the MTN, they could pretty much go anywhere. So why not? Besides, from the sounds of it, there was a werewolf out there stalking a pretty populated area. They couldn't just look the other way once they knew, could they?
He and Hannah were a lot better off than they had been when they'd first became reincarnates. They weren't useless on hunts anymore, they knew their way around a weapon, and they'd bagged more than a few monsters in just the couple of years that they'd been doing this seriously. Still, it didn't hurt to bring along a couple of heavy hitters on the team, just in case. This was their first werewolf, and David felt better if Bren and Finley were there. Okay, so asking Finley to come was more just an excuse to spend time with him, but there was still a real benefit to having him there. If he'd decided to complain about the field trip, David would have just reminded him that he was coming along to protect his 'investment'. If David got killed while hunting some werewolf in London, Finley'd be out of a partner. That's what David would tell Hannah, anyway, if Hannah asked why he'd insisted on Finley coming.
After they'd all agreed to make the trip, it'd still taken some time to plan. They had to get organized and take stock of the weapons they had, and then there was the research, which David had very thoughtfully mostly left to Hannah. Once they'd figured out what they'd need and where they were going, all that was left was to figure out when they could go. Unfortunately, unlike Sam and Dean they couldn't just drop everything and go on a hunt. David had to make sure he didn't have any rehearsals or shows scheduled, which conveniently, he had none of this weekend. It also wasn't a full moon for another week, so if luck was on their side, they'd be able to bag a werewolf when they weren't at their most dangerous without any trouble. Fingers crossed, anyway. At least there didn't seem to be a pack settled in here, the reports David had read only talked about hearing one animal howling, not a group of them. A block or so from their destination, David halted the group just before they would have come out onto the main street, so they could do any last minute adjustments without having to worry about any suspicious onlookers. "Everyone clear on the plan? I'm betting this place has a back entrance, might be smart if we come at it from both sides."
