Who: Jennifer Hill, Josh Blake and Tierney Walsh
What: Josh and Jen walk into a bar... Actually not a bar, a city called M-Town. Otherwise known as District X. With a crazy X-23 out for blood. Their blood, to be more specific.
Where: Mutant Town! (NYC, lower east side)
When: Saturday, just after sunset. September 11, 2010
Warnings: Violence and shit?
It had been relatively quiet since the incident in Gemma's front yard a couple weeks back. Quiet enough that Jen felt relatively safe leaving her apartment, despite Fletcher's ominous warnings over the boards. She and Josh had already been out to M-Town once already that week but after not very much prodding at all, she'd convinced him to take another trip out there. For one thing, it was always nice to have some alone time with Josh. For another thing, it was always nice to embrace your inner geek-hood just a little bit more. Between M-Town, Metropolis and Gotham over in New Jersey, Jen was in geek heaven. You know, when Gotham wasn't being overrun by escaped criminals and mental patients like it had been just a few weeks ago...
District X was just how Jen had pictured it reading the X-Men comics, and walking down the street with him Jen had to grab onto Josh's hand to keep from physically bursting with excitement. It was easy to let her guard down with Josh. He made her feel more secure, despite the many dangers that could be lying in wait around them she always felt safe if he was there. She probably should have been on her guard a little bit more but hey, there was still daylight left and it was unlikely that anyone in the Resistance was hiding out in Mutant Town. What could possibly happen to them here?
"You know, this makes me wonder what else is out there that we haven't found yet. I mean, what about things in space? What if Krypton's out there? That would be so cool. For, you know, a destroyed planet..."
