Who: Remy Moreau and Sam Ellis
What: Remy needs to hero and Sam is not a damsel in distress
Where: Outside of Thebes
When: Mid-morning/early afternoon
Warnings: violence?
It had been years since Remy was the awkward boy who had no control over his limbs; who didn’t understand his strength and tripped over his own feet. It had been years since his nerves gripped in his gut and he wished for nothing more than acceptance. And yet, as he sat astride his pegasus as they flew toward Thebes, he felt that same, old and forgotten, fear build in the pit of his stomach. Remy knew his worth and knew he could be the hero that was needed: he could help and one day, one day he would find himself on Mt. Olympus with his parents. He couldn’t fail...he wouldn’t fail.
With the thought in mind, he puffed out his chest and threw his shoulders back as he scanned the land before him. The road stretched before him: barren and almost silent. He urged Pegasus on with a slight nudge of his knee and a brush of his hand through her mane, “it’s too quiet.” And it was as if he had spoken too soon.
As they crossed through the trees, there was a monster he had only ever seen in images: a hydra. And it had a woman cornered. Remy scowled, hand instantly falling to his sword; saving a city was one thing, but a damsel in distress was another. He hated the idea of someone bullying or preying on another. It just wasn’t right. Without a thought or even hesitation (and wouldn't he hear the end of that from Phil for not taking the time to figure out a plan), Remy ran forward, “halt! Let her go!” and banished his sword toward one of the seven heads.
