It had taken a little longer than Adrienne might have liked, but Lucien had done his job, and done it well. Considering how new the boy still was to all of this, she wasn't cross with him, though that was also in large part because as Robert's actual kin, you never knew when the older man might decide to care enough about his property that he decided on a whim to eviscerate whoever wronged them. He wasn't exactly the paternal type, but he was largely unpredictable. Adrienne knew Robert Kingsley well enough, and had worked with him long enough to be able to anticipate his more impulsive habits, and she was wary enough to never cross him, if she could help it. Adrienne's devotion and admiration for Robert closely mirrored that which Bellatrix had felt for her own Dark Lord, and so their dynamic was very much the same. Adrienne followed orders, and Robert favored her. Like Bellatrix, she was his most trusted lieutenant, and it wasn't a position Adrienne took lightly.
After all, it wasn't just any woman that would kill her husband on a whim in favor of her teacher.
Once Lucien had managed to ascertain a reliable schedule after following Azalea Lerner around for a few weeks, he reported everything to Adrienne, who promptly gave him an appreciative pat on the head and took it from there. All Adrienne needed to know was when and where she could find Azalea, preferably somewhere they were the least likely to be interrupted, and it was only after Lucien started following her outside of school hours that they finally got somewhere. With the school year ending, Azalea had started taking a different route from the university that wasn't straight to the dormitories. Home, Adrienne assumed, but Lucien wasn't able to get a confirmation on the residence and Adrienne didn't particularly care. All she had to do was wait for Azalea, spotting her at the usual time in the early evening on her usual route to an apartment building in New York City.
Adrienne followed her, out of sight, for most of the walk. It was only when Azalea got within a block of the place that Adrienne finally made her move, not wanting her to get close enough to the building that someone might try and interrupt them. The street on both sides was more or less empty at the moment, no witnesses in sight. Adrienne disapparated with a crack and apparated right behind the girl before Azalea could have time react, clamping a hand to Azalea's mouth and holding her wand with her other hand to the back of the young girl's neck. She pressed the tip sharply into her skin as she spoke, voice high and dangerous, almost visibly unstable with a distinct Irish lilt. "Don't scream, dearie, if you know what's good for you. It's time we had a little chat."
