Who: Bowie Calhoun and Scarlett Jones
What: Bo's got a weakness for pretty women. Scarlett's awfully pretty...
Where: A hallway in the Agency, London HQ
When: Tuesday, May 3rd, afternoon
Warnings: Probably mild, but tbd

So far, working at the Agency was a little... boring, compared to what Bo was used to. No offense to the Agency. Most things would be, compared to dropping into Mali with nothing but a knife between your teeth, cutting your way through swathes of rebels, retrieving the priceless artifact that the guy hiring you was paying pretty handsomely for... or, as Eliot liked to point out, liberating Croatia, and that was while you were on vacation from your real job. Yeah. There wasn't much in the world that could measure up to that when it came to pure adrenaline rush, or level of interesting involved in your job. Didn't even really measure up to Leverage, when it came to that, at least not the parts of the job that Bo had seen yet. Yeah, he figured they had to train him, get him familiar with the system, make sure he knew how all the back rooms worked before he actually got tossed out to do the job. Apparently, he was even expected to shadow Jonathan Lockwood, the most experienced field agent O&R had, before he started working on his own. Yeah, Bo got it. Sure, he claimed all kinds of experience, but it wasn't like he had the references to prove it. Kind of work he'd done, it was either for the kind of people that wouldn't want to get a call from a respectable employer, or it was all classified by the U.S. government. He was just glad they hadn't started out by sticking him on a desk like they did the interns. Maybe Minnie was smart enough to figure that would end with someone's skull getting cracked when they pissed him off.

Yeah, Bo got why he was stuck with boring jobs, for right then, but that didn't make it any less boring. He hadn't even gotten to punch anybody since he'd started. Sure. The handbook implied that he wouldn't be punching anyone once he was into the full job duties, either. He knew better. There'd be some punching required. Otherwise, why would a god of the underworld and someone that was apparently a kickass archer (Bo could respect archers, bows and arrows required a lot more skill than guns, even if they were still useless close up... at least you could stab someone with an arrow, if you couldn't get enough distance to shoot it) be working there? Bo could read between the lines. O&R was a job for people who didn't mind things getting a little ugly, sometimes. That part of the job description, that fit Bo. Fit pretty well, too. It was the stuff leading up to it, the parts that were just training, that were the problem. He'd get through it, though. He'd done worse for a job, before, when it came to grifting his way into position for whatever the hell it was he was actually after.

His last assignment had been running some files up to another department and then running back down to O&R. It was better than spending the whole day stuck back in the stacks. Took a lot to creep Bo out, but something about the stacks gave him the heebie jeebies. He'd adapt. Adjust. Get his head out of his ass and get over it, because this was his job, and Bo had never given up on a job before it was done. Good thing about a permanent position, the job was never actually done. Getting a steady paycheck was going to be weird for a while, but he thought he'd get used to not being feast or famine all the time. Probably worth it, even when he was stuck doing busy work and...

Well hey there. Bo hadn't taken much time to people watch since he'd started, but maybe he should've done that, because the lady walking by him in the hall was worth watching. He wasn't one of those guys that normally had a thing for redheads, but this one was cute. Pale skin. Slender, but with just the right amount of curve. Tall, probably about even with him, if they were standing side by side. Bo liked tall girls. Liked all girls, actually, but this one was something else. Maybe he ought to just introduce himself. They were coworkers. It'd be just being friendly, nothing wrong with being...

Yeah, he should've been paying less attention to the girl and more attention to the wall, because he swerved right into it. Smooth, that was really smooth. That was fine, though. Bo could recover from that one. He thought.
