Minnie didn't pay that much attention to the passage of time generally speaking. However she was quite pleased that the time in which her sister did not work in the same building as he was now stretching comfortably out into the realms of never again. Perhaps she was being overly dramatic, if only to herself. There were times when the sisters got along, though they were increasingly less frequent and the longevity of such episodes left a lot to be desired. Of course the appearance of Persephone had only served to increase tensions. Romantic interests were a touchy subject for Minnie. Not that she specifically thought Ren was a romantic interest. It was complicated.
To get to the point, Minnie was in a much better mood at work recently, without the proverbial thunder cloud hanging over her. No interns had gone missing within the shelves of the expansive room that didn't seem to have a definable end to it. She has a new plant for her desk which was proving to be quite hardy and had so far managed to escape death via neglect. All in all, things were going well. At least, they had been until that morning.
Her morning routine consisted of a healthy amount of paperwork to be filed, emails to respond to, cataloging objects that had recently been retrieved so that they could be stored correctly, and checking what objects had made their way to the nearest shelves. They were often a good indication of who would be coming in and what sort of day or week she might end up having. This morning's check had included a stygian iron blade and a ring fashioned into the shape of a skull. There weren't that many people who could handle stygian iron and she would be kidding herself if she tried to pretend that she didn't immediately know who would be turning up to make a claim. It wasn't as if the presence of a demigod in the Underworld had gone unnoticed for several years, but with the recent development of her reincarnate’s sort-of wife she wasn't sure she wanted to deal with another of his children as well. Even if Ren had been trying to encourage more involvement in their lives or something.
As the day wore on she had become more and more reticent, her impatience winning through whenever the interns failed to reach some exacting standard that she hadn't bothered to inform them of. Already one had gone home early, possibly in tears. So now she was manning the front desk, completing what paperwork she could. Eventually the atmosphere in the department changed subtly. Minnie tensed, but continued with what she was working on. As the presence of the new person settled in front of her she slapped a form onto the desk between them without looking up.
“Name and Reincarnate.” She stated more than asked. It wasn't as if she needed the actual confirmation. Well. She did for official purposes but who was counting that?
