Who: Genevieve Dubois and Oliver London
What: Gen is on a mission and gets some unexpected help.
Where: A hotel bar in London.
When: Thursday evening, around eight pm.
Warnings: None that I can think of.
All in all, Genevieve liked her extra job. Maybe there were times where she felt a little lacking in the recon department, but she had her place in it. She just didn't have the, mostly literal, nose for tracking people like some of the other members. What she lacked in that, though, she made up far more in the actual blending in part. She had a good ear for gossip and rumors, and could easily blend into the places that those things took place in. She could change her hair, make up, even her accent if she absolutely needed to.
So it worked. And she enjoyed it, and really, if you couldn't love what you do, what would be the point? Some aspects of it, of course, were not as much fun as others. Right now she was sitting in a nice bar, ranked better then the hotel it was situated in, funnily enough. Dressed in a slinky blue dress, she was sitting at the bar, drinking a cocktail and making sure to not appear as interested in the group of older businessmen that had just come in. It did help that they were American, and so just happened to be louder then other people.
Genevieve had to wonder about that particular stereotype for a moment. She'd seen enough of it when she was a flight attendant, there was always that one passenger, or a group of passengers, that were much louder then anyone else, and they tended to be American. There were some people... she decided not to get lost in any specific thought, especially as one of the men she was discreetly observing checked her out.
From the dossier she'd been given, and had gathered so far, the group there was a mix of big business types who all had an interest in anti-reincarnate activities. They weren't all known, of course, and that was one of the reasons why Genevieve was here, to pick up as much information as she could. Moving her clutch on the table just an inch, she did it in such a way as it wasn't noticeable, picking up her drink at the same time, while making sure the microphone hidden in the lining of her purse was in the right direction. Again, one of the men glanced at her again, and this time she let him catch her eye, giving a slight smile before looking back at her drink.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see him start to get up, but then someone slipped into the chair next to her, and he was much too close for comfort. "Hello there, beautiful." This big blonde guy leered at her.
"Not interested." Genevieve said, giving him a glance before picking up her drink and taking a sip.
"Aw, come on, you haven't even given me a chance! What're you drinking? Let me get you the next one. Hey, bartender--"
"No thank you, I'm really not interested."
