Who: Morgan Lang, Ryan Jackson & later Peyton Lark & Kai Whistler What: X5's break into Whistler, Inc. Hijinx ensues. Where: Whistler Inc, NY When: Tuesday night, November 24th 2015 Warnings: Nothing major, except probably some violence
They'd been planning this heist for months. It was a big one. Normally she and the twins stuck to smaller mom and pop companies, or people's homes. There was less risk involved when it was just someone's home, because the only security they had to worry about was their own, once it was successfully installed at the home owner's request. That was the real trick to their schemes. Why bother going through the pains of actually breaking into a place when you could just be given the alarm codes to it? Morgan would have felt bad, but usually they were stealing from horrible, rich people anyway. She wasn't usually the kind of person who used the excuse that someone was asking for it, but... Yeah, they were usually asking for it. Sometimes there was a dog, but Morgan was pretty good with subduing animals before things got messy, and there had only been one incident where Rhett's ass had almost gotten bitten off by a particularly territorial one. They wouldn't have to worry about that here, at least, though there were some actual security guards they had to take into account instead.
With Rhett waiting in the van to keep an eye on the building's surveillance camera feed that they'd hacked into, Morgan and Ryan waited until the next security rotation to make their move. Once they were inside, it would be easier, they just had to get in without being seen first. Luckily, they were X5's. Getting inside places unseen was kind of what they did. It really paid off to have the kind of agility and aptitude for stealth that they had, not to mention the motivation to pull this heist off. This place was filled to the brim with the latest in computer technology, just asking to be stolen. After disabling the security system they'd set up for the company not even a few weeks ago, all they had to do was scale the wall and drop in a third story window, completely undetected. See? When all was said and done, it was a piece of cake.
It was also the week of Thanksgiving, which was part of why they'd decided to make their move now instead of earlier. A lot of the people who worked here were taking vacations, and going home for the holidays, so the likelihood of anyone staying at work late on this particular night was substantially less than any other given week. When Morgan had taken a pass at the building earlier, she hadn't seen a single living soul, other than the one security guard on duty that hour. They were even shorter staffed on security for the holidays, which was really just more convenient for them. Once Morgan cleared her landing through the window and successfully got to her feet, she waited before detaching her harness and looked over at Ryan. "How do you wanna do this?"
