Who: David & Hannah Ryan What: Hannah finds out that David made a deal. Where: The Men of Letters bunker in Kansas When: Monday night, November 9th, 2015 Warnings: More Winchester angst? Sibling fight? You know the drill.
Things hadn't exactly gone back to normal since last week, but David had been trying. Hannah couldn't know what he'd done, the deal he'd made with Finley to bring her back, so he couldn't act like it had been the end of the world. As far as Hannah knew, a couple demons had jumped them in his apartment, it had been a close call, but ultimately Finley had come in the nick of time to save the day. Not a complete lie, Finley had ultimately come to save the day, just not until after Tali had killed Hannah. Hannah had died, she'd been dead for at least a few minutes. Maybe more. David had been in too much of a daze to really keep track of the time that had passed between his text to Finley and sealing the deal with a kiss.
... Another thing that David was having a hard time acting normal about, but again, it wasn't something he could tell anybody about either. To explain the complicated kiss, he would have to explain the part about the deal, and vice versa. There was just no way around it, David had to keep his mouth shut about everything, and it was slowly driving him crazy. Unlike Dean, David wasn't that good at keeping everything bottled up inside. He tended to explode with it all instead, like a ticking time bomb. That didn't exactly bode well for keeping this whole ordeal on the down low, but for right now, David was just doing his best to cope while trying to keep Hannah from suspecting anything. It was harder than it sounded. David didn't have a very good poker face either.
Since last Sunday, David had been pretty scarce if you weren't related to him. He went to band practice, but instead of hanging around after like he usually did he left immediately to get back to the bunker, and to Hannah. It probably wasn't helping him convince his sister that nothing was wrong by hovering, but then again, he'd been doing the hovering thing with Hannah long before this week, so it also probably wasn't anything new. Also, they'd still been through something fairly traumatic, even if Hannah wasn't completely clued in on how traumatic it had really been. David still felt guilty for lying to her, but he also thought it was for her own good. He didn't want her to have to live with what he'd done to get her back. Like Dean with Sam, David had always been over protective of her, and she with him. At least it was a mutual codependency. Sometimes it still weirded David out how much they were like Dean and Sam. If only they were better at the hunting part.
He'd been holed up in his room for an hour or so, with Cassie laying near his feet while he browsed the internet for... nothing, really. David was putting off going to bed because every night last week, he'd had a nightmare, and they all ended the same way. With Hannah dead, and no deal to bring her back. He was considering just saying screw it and pulling an all-nighter despite already feeling tired, when David opened another browser window to check the reincarnate boards, almost immediately becoming one hundred percent alert as he swore out loud. Another round of gossip had been posted, and close to the top, was a very clear picture of him and Finley locking lips.
"Shit!" Jumping up from his desk chair and startling Cassie in the process, David ran his hands roughly through his hair and briefly covered his face, uttering more swear words behind his hands while he began to panic. Had Hannah seen it yet? The minute she saw it, she'd know exactly what happened. She was too smart not to. Wrenching his bedroom door open, David made a break for the main study room where he'd left Hannah earlier, hoping he could get to her before she saw it, maybe stall for time and... he actually had no idea what he was going to do. This was bad.
