Who: Andrei Kovac, Corbin Thompson, and Sophia Thompson (NPC) What: It's Sophia's second birthday party! Where: Corbin's house When: Saturday, August 1st, morning. Warnings: Domestic schmoop and an adorable baby.
"These are the pinkest cupcakes I've ever seen." Drei put the boxes of cupcakes he'd picked up from the cupcakery (and what the hell kind of word was that? you can't just add two letters to the end of a dessert and call it a word) down on the table with a grimace. The house had exploded into pink and purple while he'd been out, but it didn't look like he was escaping decorating completely, especially because he was pretty sure Corbin had to have spent as much time keeping Sophia out of the decorations as he had putting them up.
Speaking of the devil, she heard him say cupcakes and came charging in. Used to it by now, Drei leaned over to scoop her up, turning her away from the cupcakes. "No, chav, those are for the party. Can't eat them all now." Besides, if anyone was going to dig into the cupcakes ahead of time, it was going to be Drei. He'd picked the damn things up, after all.
Sophia scowled, little face wrinkling up. "Cake now, Day." She looked a lot like her daddy when she did that, and Drei had to turn his head so he wouldn't laugh.
"Cake later, chikno." Settling her on his hip, Drei went off to find his boyfriend where he was probably tangled in some kind of princess-themed decoration. Okay, so maybe Drei shouldn't have talked him into doing all of it themselves. It had seemed like a good idea at the time. "What would Sofia think about it, huh?" Drei still didn't get the Disney princess fascination, but he never had when Cady was little, either, so he figured it was a lost cause. Sofia the First hadn't exactly grown on him, but Sophia liked the little princess whose name sounded like hers, so he'd also given up hope on ever getting out of that. "Corbin?" Where the hell was he?
