Who: Zane Rosen and Daniel Morgan What: Zane’s looking for a new house; Daniel’s input is very valuable. When: Backdated to Friday, July 10 2015, morning Where: Different locations around Glastonbury, UK Warnings: Two sappy, adorable idiots… and references to sexy stuff.
As much as Zane was supposed to be a responsible adult, he still really fucking hated mornings. Yeah, he could drag himself out of bed and get to work on time, but he wasn’t exactly happy about it, when he did. He’d had his way, this looking at houses thing would have started later in the day. He guessed it could have, but when he’d told the realtor he’d called that he had no clue what he wanted, exactly, or even if he was looking to rent or buy, she’d seemed daunted for a moment before telling him, cheerfully, that she’d schedule the full day for him, then, so that they could make sure to view plenty of properties. Zane was pretty fucking daunted by the idea, too, but he’d resigned himself to it, because like hell he wanted to spend more than one day looking. He had too much shit to do for that, as much as he wanted to find a place where he could be comfortable. She hadn’t even paused for a second when he’d said that his boyfriend would be coming with him, so point in her favor there, even if she turned out to be a crazy fucking morning person.
Like his boyfriend… except Daniel wasn’t the annoying kind of morning person, he just didn’t hate them as violently as Zane did. Zane had slept over the night before, since Daniel had offered to tag along and help him with the house hunt, which meant he woke up to coffee and sex. That made the morning suck a hell of a lot less than usual, and Zane was in a decent mood by the time they pulled in at the first address that the realtor had given him, feeling light and relaxed in that way that only a damn good orgasm could leave you.
There was no shortage of willing dog sitters in Camelot, so Zane had been able to find someone to take Duke for a day without much problem, which had been a fucking relief. Much as finding a house that would be appropriate for a bigass dog was important, Zane figured the realtor probably wouldn’t appreciate his company on the tours. That, and dealing with the sidecar all day could be a pain in the ass. Instead, he’d gotten to enjoy Daniel holding on to him through the ride, which, he wasn’t gonna lie, was pretty damn nice, all by itself. He’d never been much for public displays of affection, but with Daniel he could kind of see the appeal. Hard not to wrap his arm around his boyfriend while they waited for the realtor to show up, actually, but he satisfied himself with standing close enough that their shoulders brushed, looking the house over from the outside.
It was small, plain brick, cramped between two other houses, and nothing all that special to look at. Not the kind of place Zane could see himself living in forever, but if he remembered right she’d said this first one was a rental property, so he guessed he wouldn’t be. “Maybe it’s better inside?” Zane didn’t sound all that sure about that one. Weren’t any ley lines running close, either, when he opened his mind up and cast about. Some within reach, sure, but they were a stretch, and not all that impressive. Wouldn’t be all that convenient when it came to any magic he wanted to do at home, that was for sure, but that wasn’t exactly the kind of requirement that you could give a realtor when you were talking about what you wanted in a house. He wondered if it would be rude to tell her he didn’t even want to look inside… but it was just the first house of the day. If he didn’t like it, there would be plenty of other options.
