Who: Samantha Ellis & Irving Midgley
What: Widow pays the Hulk a visit
Where: York, UK
When: Forward dated to Sunday evening, May 24th 2015
Warnings: Probably nothing huge
Once JARVIS had managed to lock down a firm signature on the direction their giant, green friend had gone after his very public debut, it was only a matter of time. Samantha was good at finding people, had been even before she became the reincarnate of Black Widow, so you could say she was born for this. Those years spent as a private investigator paid off all on their own, it was just a bonus that she had Remy and SHIELD as a back up. She could probably find anyone that way, but in the end, Irving Midgley wasn't that hard to discover. Using SHIELD's database to search sightings and incidents with the keyword 'Hulk', while pulling up a surprisingly few number of results, were enough to narrow it down considerably and took her outside of the States entirely in her findings.
She didn't make her move immediately, once she thought she'd found him. First she spent a few days in careful observance, just to be sure. Watching his living habits, figuring out what he did for work and following him to the University once or twice. The fact that Banner was a huge dork again wasn't exactly a surprise, a researcher of Nuclear Physics who was very obviously not nearly as reclusive as Banner himself, since he was living and working in fairly well populated areas instead of in some remote corner of a third world country. Samantha didn't know if that meant he was... well adjusted, but 'well adjusted' wasn't exactly a description that normally went with the Hulk, so she was still plenty wary. Enough that she kept her distance until she couldn't anymore.
His flat wasn't quite what she expected from the Hulk, but then again, maybe it should have been something she expected. The place was light and airy, very soothing to her so it must have the same sort of affect on him. Samantha didn't exactly have the same kind of anger issues as Banner but she was wound pretty tightly, and she felt nearly zen in this place. It had some nice touches. Of course, she might be completely disrupting the calming effects of his living space by taking him by surprise in his own flat and she probably could have risked less by knocking. Samantha never did things the easy way, though. Once she found her way into his place, she poked around until she knew he would be leaving work, after having carefully studied his comings and goings over the last handful of days. He would be back soon, so she took a seat on his couch and started flipping casually through a magazine. She might as well put herself in plain view so there was less of a chance he might get completely spooked and hulk out right there.
