Who: Briar Hayes (& Anthony Fox) What: Briar goes to New York to see Fox's mansion and ends up in Fabletown. eeee! When: Saturday, early afternoon. August 21 2010 Where: Manhattan, New York (BULLFINCH STREET.) Warnings: None?
Briar had come to really enjoy the company of Sergeant Fox of the NYPD. And surprisingly. She didn't like to think of herself as an elitist, but for the most part she was exactly that. She hardly ever ran in crowds that didn't live forever, not something she ever really did on purpose it's just who she and Rose tended to gravitate to. Other people like them. Funny thing was, Fox seemed to fit into that category too, he just had that tricky problem of mortality. They got along really well anyway. A guy carting Captain America around in his head was exactly the type of guy that Rose Red would go for, which Briar actually resented a little if only because she didn't like to admit that she had things in common with her head mate. But he'd managed to keep them from going on one of their habitual one person binge drinking pity parties, and he was nice, Briar and Rose had a good time with him and the captain.
When he'd asked her to come to New York and check out the Avengers mansion, Briar hadn't expected anything else to come out of the day other then some quality time with a pretty fun guy. She'd met Fox outside of the New York Agency's MTN and from there they'd decided not to take a taxi in favor of walking to the place. For all the time she'd spent out in the world, she actually couldn't remember exploring the city of Manhattan all that much. It was a nice change of pace for her, and after a leisurely walk through most of the Upper Westside of Manhattan they turned in the direction of Central Park and Fox's mansion.
Along the way, when Briar wasn't completely distracted by conversation and giggling at Fox's jokes, she and Rose Red were both started to notice some strange familiarities about the area. At first it was just little things. A street sign, a gutter. Then she thought she saw a store called The Glass Slipper but she could have been imagining things. There was absolutely no way that they had just... She suddenly gasped, stopping in her tracks and grabbing onto Fox's arm, stopping him in his tracks as well. They were standing in front of a street sign that read Bullfinch Street.
It didn't do any good trying to tell herself not to get her hopes up, because Briar immediately started walking at a much faster pace and dragging Fox along with her until she stopped in front of her intended destination. Woodland Luxury Apartments. She turned to her companion with all the giddiness of a six year old. "Fox. We need to get a cab. We need to get to the Farm!" Fabletown was here.
