Just a regular meeting
Who: Landon Carpenter (doesntburnhot) and Edith Lawrence-Scott (ihadwingsonce)
What: Lunch between old friends. But not that old.
Where: Restaurant in Washington D.C.
When: Monday afternoon.
Warnings: None that I can see. Swearing, at the most.
When it came to playing six degrees of separation in Washington D.C, you didn't need to get to six degrees for people to know each other. Especially, most especially, when it came to the people in politics. Which was almost everyone in this city, and everyone knew everyone. They knew the right people, they knew the right things to say, and they would do anything to get what they wanted.
Landon fit right in with the group. He wore the right clothes, he said the right things, he kissed the right asses without looking like he was kissing their asses. And he knew the right people. It was a difficult game to play, and not everyone succeeded, but with the Deputy Director primed to step down any day now, Landon could certainly say he was.
And being part of the Resistance helped. Reincarnation was slowly taking over the world, something he couldn't be more happy about. And the Winchesters were around, and a few demons, and some angels, and basically life was going rather well for him right now.
He and Edith needed to talk, and so he'd arranged a lunch date through her secretary. They worked for two of the same systems, in a sense, and two department heads should meet up. It was helped easier because they were at the same benefits, at times, as well. They had a reason for why they would meet, and of course they met at times. Not too frequently, but enough to be seen as friendly.
Landon waited at a table that had begun to be "their's".
