Who: Genevieve Dubois (hergoodheart) and Freddie Morgan (lordprat) What: Getting coffee. And trying to get to know each other. Where: Coffee shop in London. When: Sunday afternoon. Warnings: Probably arguing, because it's them. When can they not argue?
For the past month, Genevieve had been insanely busy. She'd thought that maybe she'd be able to catch a break or two somewhere in between flights, but the one problem that she had with Gwen was that sometimes, just sometimes, she could be too nice. It started with having one flight attendant ask her if she could take their flight, an overnight deal, and her saying yes; the whole thing started from there.
Still, taking a ton of shifts, and never having too much of a break meant it was easy to not think about him. It didn't stop Gwen from thinking about Arthur, though. Sometimes she couldn't believe what Gwen saw in him, but then sometimes she saw what he did, and the two were... she didn't know. But if Arthur could be like that, if Gwen took the time to get to know him, and it paid off, then maybe she could give Freddie a shot.
Except then he said such infuriating things, and it was a force of will that made her not give a biting response back. It didn't always help. But then he'd surprised her, and when she finally had that break, she called him. They'd made plans to meet for coffee, and before she knew it, she was making sure she looked her best, and getting nervous about them meeting.
Which was why she made sure she got there first, to give her time to figure out what to do, what to say, what to not say, maybe check her make up one last time... and be ready.
