WHO: The reincarnation of Samhain WHAT: Sam comes to town to make people forget WHERE: Everywhere WHEN: 9PM Thursday night, October 31st 2013
The world had already been turned upside down before his arrival. That was rude. Sam didn't like that. This was his time, his little shop of horrors, and someone had gotten to it first. That wouldn't do. Sam knew he had to remind everyone why this one night of the year was always remembered, why this was the one night of the year when your darkest dreams always came true. Why this one night of the year was always his. He'd come to take back the night.
Starting with the reincarnates.
Every town, every city, every state Sam visited was plagued by the same sickness. It wasn't anything over the top, just enough to bring the entire community to its knees. Before the clock would even strike midnight, every single reincarnate he touched would fall victim to the greatest irony of their dueled existence. Forgetting who you were was everyone's greatest fear, and tonight, that fear was going to become every reincarnate's reality.
A man white with fright ran down a dark alley way, running from something. Or was it someone? The man pleaded into the unforgiving night. "No, please! Don't hurt me. I thought you were dea-"
Sam wiggled his way down the street, his movements seeming to almost weave themselves through the night air. The real ghosts were out tonight, and the wind howled as the man's last scream echoed in the distance.
"Hello. I'm sorry, but I don't think I know you?" A mother says to her own son, now merely two confused strangers standing next to each other on the sidewalk.
In the instant, the rest of the reincarnate world would feel it too. Now was the time for play. Now was the time to forget who you are and become something else. Now was the time for ghosts and ghouls, demons and witches. Now was the time for your worst nightmares.
