Who: Lauryn Simmons and open! What: Traitors they may be, but at least they're alive. Where: Government place that has cages and things? And regular stuff. Go with it, guys. When: Friday, August 23rd, after the executions. Warnings: ...Sadness? Anger? Cursing? Do we warn against cursing?
When had they gone back to hanging? Firing squad, maybe, something else that wasn't watching two people be hung by their necks. Did they still do electrocutions, or was it all done by lethal injections, now? This was the kind of stuff Lauryn was going to think about tonight. She couldn't say she had known them very well, or really known them at all, besides knowing who they were. But it still got to her in a way she hadn't thought possible, lately. Or maybe it was Cindy who was thinking about it more then she was. Or something like that.
But Cindy and Lauryn were pretty close now, closer then they were before, in how they acted. And reacted. Lauryn always had the tendency to save her own skin, and her brother, before committing to anything else. But she'd really started to like the idea of working with Camelot. It was like working for Fabletown again, if only this time they were doing things on a larger scale. For her, not a noticeable one, but still. Something bigger then herself.
And now she worked for the government. She hadn't been forced into it, but when the options were be on the run, work for them, or be imprisoned, well. She wasn't a fan of being on the run. But while she still got some dirty looks from fellow coworkers, there were a few perks to the whole thing. She got to stay alive. She got to work with some people she knew. She got to do what Cindy did, and what they both enjoyed. And she got to keep tabs on her friends who were imprisoned.
Yeah. Totally not that bad. Not bad at all, as she replayed in her mind the way the bodies looked after they had dropped. Yeah. Not bad at all.
[ooc: Reply with wherever your character is and I'll stick her there. This is just generic for timing and thoughts.]
