Who: Adrienne O'Carroll & an NPC Senator Scott
What: The Resistance takes the Senator under their (mind) control
Where: Senator Scott's office in Raleigh, North Carolina
When: Backdated to late Saturday night, July 13th, 2013
Warnings: Um. Bellatrix Lestrange?
She'd been keeping an eye on his movements for a week. It wasn't hard to figure out the somewhat predictable habits of Senator Trent Scott, because they mainly consisted of two things. Going to work, and staying late. This day was no different, so when eleven o'clock rolled around that night the only light still burning was in Trent Scott's office. Adrienne could see it shining down from the street and she grinned. It was time to pay a visit to the reincarnate hating senator.
Adrienne had an extreme distaste for the man, from his grossly public reincarnate prejudice to the stuffy, pinstriped suits he wore. How dare he look at the reincarnate collective and judge her right to live as she pleased? If the man had his way they'd all be locked up in padded cells to be poked and studied and treated like lab rats. All of the hate speech, the prop measures, the vows to be rid of reincarnates once and for all? The man's anti-reincarnate agenda had become a problem. She was Scott's reckoning, and she was here to see to it that from now on, he only had the Resistance's best interests at heart.
"Top of the evenin' to ye, Senator!" Adrienne cried out as she barged without announcement into his private office, making a joke out of her Irish charm that only made the Senator's eyes bulge wider in confusion as he stood up instinctively from his desk. He hadn't been expecting anyone, but that wasn't why he was wary. There was something in her eyes, a shine that was more inhuman than bright. Adrienne's husband always called it 'ye old murderess gaze', though at the time how could he have known how right he was?
There was a killer inside Adrienne, and she would not be getting satisfied tonight.
"Who-who are you? I'll call security," Scott threatened, and Adrienne couldn't blame him. She was the opposite of nonthreatening with her black hair and even blacker eyes, but she only smiled as she raised her wand with a murmured hiss, the telephone on his desk promptly shattering into a million pieces. "Right! Now that I have your full attention-" Adrienne huffed, gliding across the room and circling around his desk to, much to his horror, plop herself down on the senator's lap. His arms flailed out at his sides like he didn't know where best to put them out of harm's way and Adrienne cackled.
"You've been a naughty boy, Senator Scott, aye ye have."
"What are you talk-" Senator Scott's protests were cut off by Adrienne's finger on his lips, insisting with a loud 'SHHHHHHHHHH.' "I'll not be interrupted now, alright? I've got something to say and yer gonna listen close. I'm here to make ye change yer mind, make some changes in the political circus you call a justice system. Startin' with us."
The Senator made a disgusted noise before tearing his mouth away from her finger to look at her with a distaste that Adrienne didn't care for. "You're one of those reincarnates, aren't you? Well whatever you're going to do to me you can't undo what I've done - somebody else will take up the call after me. We'll get you all off the streets, so help me go-"
With a dangerous shriek, Adrienne leaped up from his lap and shoved his chair backwards, causing the Senator to fall to the ground and she laughed maniacally, not giving him the chance to get up before she was on him again, pinning him down by her knee with her wand to his throat. "Ye think God has anything to do with this? Wrong! There's only the devil 'imself here."
A flash of genuine fear crossed over his face and Adrienne reveled in it, leaning in close to envelope the sides of his narrow face with her dark hair.
"Now - lay still won't ye? This'll be over quick. From now on, you'll do as we say, Senator. Imperio."
