Who: Clementine and Lorne What: The truth comes out. Both willingly and unwillingly. When: Sunday night. Where: Lorne's flat, Edinburgh. Warnings: TBD.
The party had been interesting, to say the least. By the time she was able to slip away, Clementine was more than a little relieved. She almost wanted to just go home and hide. Just slide in to bed and not leave until things weren't weird any more. That wasn't an option, though. Not only had she promised Lorne that she would see him tonight (which she did want to do), he'd told her she would be some explanations. She wasn't entirely sure that she wanted to hear whatever it was that he had to explain, given how things had gone throughout the day, but it would be worth it to hear what he had to say. Maybe it would shine some light on that weirdness. She couldn't for the life of her figure out what he would have to say, or why, but it was worth a try.
She jumped the MTN from Los Angeles (where the people in the office were being just as bizarre) to Edinburgh (where they were slightly less odd, but there were still a few being way too chatty, and one of them said something about 'water'). It wasn't too much longer before Lorne pulled up. Rather than have a conversation outside the Agency office, she kissed him hello and they went back to his place. She was slowly learning the layout of Edinburgh. It didn't do her much good, since she never drove while she was there, but she kind of enjoyed knowing where they were going.
Once they got settled, she leaned forward, her elbows on her knees. It was hard to get her thoughts in a straight line, to decide what she wanted to say. To her, right then, everything seemed like the right thing to say. That's where most of the weirdness was coming from. "So. You had something to tell me? About what it is that's going on?"
