Who. Lucy Winters & Max Undelman What. Two Hollywood starlets get reacquainted w/ alcohol Where. Capitol Club, LA When. Friday night, July 20th 2012 Warnings. TBD?
So far Max had been pretty true to his word about this place. Even if Lucy wasn't the most celebrated actress in Hollywood, it was still near impossible for her to go anywhere without getting noticed. Usually she didn't mind it, and not because she craved the attention, she just really liked people and making them happy. She didn't mind them fawning over her or begging for autographs because she understood that was just how it worked, but sometimes? Sometimes she really did just crave a little peace and quiet. So far this bar Max had told her about had been exactly that, just like he'd promised. No adoring fans, no crowds, just them in a booth with good music and plenty of drinks. She was glad for it, mostly because it gave them a chance to really catch up. It'd been a long time.
She'd met Max before all this reincarnation business happened to her, just a couple of years back when they were both brought onto the same project to co-star together. They'd connected instantly, the critics calling their on-screen chemistry 'organic and alluring'. Privately, Lucy had agreed with them, but the chemistry they'd had on-screen was as far as that ever went. It was only three weeks after filming had wrapped that her boyfriend had died, and she hadn't seen Max since. Not until last week when she finally got up the nerve to come on the boards after some of Silena's gentle nudging and he was the first person to respond to her.
Maybe it was even easier now with the whole Daughter of Aphrodite thing she had going for her but Lucy had always had an easy time talking to people, and Max was no exception. They talked like old friends who hadn't seen each other in a long time, though she couldn't help noticing how nice he looked tonight. Max always looked nice, he was one of those Hollywood actors who dressed to impress but not to be a snob about it, but tonight especially. Lucy took the liberty of reaching over and turning up his neatly pressed collar a little on purpose, flashing Silena's trademark wink at him as her hand resettled on the new vodka tonic a hostile, but curiously grinning blond brought over along with Max's drink. Lucy watched her go with an amused expression. "Is it just me, or is she laughing at you?"
