Who: Simone Walcott and Ren Wentworth
What: Now that the elusive Scott Summers has made his grand appearance in the form of a woman, it's only natural that he would be wanted to join in the ranks of the X-Men...right?
Where: Simone's Office, divat headquarters, Los Angeles
When: Friday, February 3, 2012 in the early afternoon
Warnings: I doubt there is really anything to worry about!
There was a reason why Simone insisted on reviewing any and all meeting requests. That reason was to ensure that she was never met with surprise and uncertainty. Most people could say that, in a line of work such as hers, those were two things that Simone should be quite use to. Truthfully, she was always aware of both things. They weren't favorites, though. Was there any time when one enjoyed a surprise? Maybe small children, and there were plenty of times where Simone insisted she was surrounded by such adolescent behavior, but, no. Simone Walcott did not enjoy surprises.
Perhaps her entire view of the meeting would have been different had their initial conversation not been because of the person living inside of her head. Ren Wentworth was a well-dressed, handsome, and rather wealthy man. They were all characteristics of people who Simone opted to see on a daily basis. They were the only sort she wanted to deal with; the ones who could afford her clothing. He was a known public figure and a client that she had been drafting a plan to eventually get into her office.
Now that she had him, she wasn't sure how much she wanted him.
"Mr. Wentworth, I can only hope you have come to call because you either are in need of a new suit, or hoping for a drink after work. The first request, of course, I am more than capable of handling." Sitting at her desk, hands folded neatly under her chin, Simone glanced up from her rather busy appointment book to the broad-shouldered young man. "The latter request, I'm afraid, would do neither of us any good to pursue." Whether he wished her to go into further detail on her statement or not, now was not the time.
"It is always business before all else after all."
