Who. Luke Harrison & Stella Anderson What. In the midst of chaos, the only person Rory's looking for right now is his wife Where. Stella's house in Denver, Colorado When. Backdated to Friday evening, June 10th, 2011 Warnings. TBD?
Luke wasn't sure what the hell was going on. His caretaker had explained it well enough, at least in theory. All Luke really got from it was that no one knew what the hell was going on, all they knew was reincarnates were dropping like flies all over the place and the best medical professionals in the world couldn't figure out what was wrong. If I was still a nurse...
"Rory, we are still a nurse," Luke responded aloud irritably to his headmate's musings as they approached the front door. He was completely out of his element here, he'd only been a reincarnate for a couple months and according to everyone else, stuff like this week was more than just a common occurrence around here. He wasn't sure he could handle it, or even wanted to acknowledge it. The weaker part of him just wanted to hide somewhere safe and pretend none of this was real, but he knew that wouldn't get him anywhere, and Rory had other ideas.
Luke's family seemed to be okay, or at least no one had gotten sick yet including him so really, when it came down to it there was only one other person that Rory and Luke were worrying about at the moment -- Amy.
Or Stella, as her name was now. They'd only had one conversation previously and it had been a mixture of both weird and utterly confusing, but she seemed like a nice girl and she was also the reincarnate of Rory's wife. When it came down to it Luke was just too good of a guy to ignore that completely, and after a few days of seeing no sign of her on the boards after the sickness started, he had to give Rory something.
So, at his reincarnate's (somewhat) gentle urging, that's how Luke had now found himself on Stella Anderson's front doorstep. Rory had known how to get there because of Reggie Thomas, the reincarnate of Rory before him. Luke felt a little weird about using the guy's memories like this, but he told himself it was for a good cause. By the time they got to Denver Luke was as committed to finding out if Stella was okay as Rory was, someone had to look out for her and Amy. It might as well be him.
After a few seconds of awkward shuffling he finally raised his hand to wrap lightly on the door with his knuckles, clutching the handful of flowers in his other hand that Rory had insisted on. He had never felt like a bigger loser, and was close to hoping Stella wasn't home when the door finally opened and he smiled hesitantly.
