Hannah Ryan | Sam Winchester ([info]lostmyshoe) wrote in [info]thereincarnates,
Demons she could take. The beasts and monsters and spirits she had seen on hunts? Piece of cake. It was a simple process. You figured out what killed them, and you did it. No remorse. No thinking. You just did the job and you moved on, because the grey areas were supposed to be for the show, not real life. This wasn't something she knew how to handle. Ben was either possessed by a higher demon such as Azazel who she couldn't kill without the goddamn Colt, or he wasn't possessed, in which case... She didn't have a plan for that at all. Attempting to kill her or not, it was her brother. It wasn't like she could just shoot him in the head and call it a day.

So the water had left her stunned, and a bit too long. Ben's body was incredibly larger than hers, and now that he had her arms she was left relatively defenseless. Seconds later she was slammed against the wall, the force knocking the wind out of her chest. The second slam did considerably more damage; within a second of slamming into it again, Cassie saw stars and could no longer hold onto Ben in any way.

She hit the ground, the room around her swimming in and out of focus. Her limbs felt heavy and slow, but she was determined not to die that night. Not in her brother's apartment when she didn't even need to be there. She fished for the gun and pulled it out, training it on him with a shaky grip. Or, hopefully. His form was swimming after all. "Ben. Cut it out."
