Who: Cary Clarke ('Lex Luthor')
When: June 17, around 4 pm.
Where: LexCorp!
What: Lex is hooooome.
Cary honestly hadn't been sure what to expect from Metropolis. For one, he wasn't sure which Metropolis it was, or when it was in its respective timeline. He had his ID tucked in his back pocket, as he'd been watching the journals and knew that some of the Potter reincarnates had been mistaken for their mental guests. Not that Lex couldn't afford excellent false identification, but Cary only needed to instill enough doubt to talk his way out of custody. He was confident that he could manage. He was confident of a lot of things, in fact (including his ability to defend himself if things went ugly), but that didn't stop him from concealing a small handgun under a light jacket. 'Be prepared:' one of the few things about the boy scouts that he liked.
All of his preparations had turned out to be unnecessary. He'd been welcomed into LexCorp with open arms and no one had stopped him when he'd gone to tour the labs, then taken the elevator up to Lex's huge, window-lined office.
Luthor was beside himself. It wasn't that he couldn't stomach Cary's student lifestyle, it was that he didn't like to live on the cheap. Now that he had a proper base of operations, well, Cary could indulge his reincarnate. They'd go to Lex's place, let someone cook a meal that didn't come from a box, and sleep in a decent bed. Then? They'd begin regaining the most important of commodities: power. Metropolis was his city - THEIR city, Cary's and Lex's - and no snot-nosed alien invader was going to order them around.
Maybe Cary would pay a visit to the mayor and drop some money on needy civic projects. Who said you couldn't buy goodwill and a blind eye? But those were just handy side-effects; like the overgrown teenaged boy he was, Cary was out to harass and torment.
With donations came naming rights. Jennifer was going to be seeing 'Luthor' everywhere.
