Who: Gwyneth and Viola What: Viola's done something to her hair and Gwyneth ends up betraying herself. When: Backdated to Friday 3/35/11, afternoon Where: Gwyneth's house in Vancouver, Washington Rating: PG-for classic parental guilt tripping of the highest degree.
It had taken Gwyneth a little longer than she would've liked to talk Viola into coming over again. She wasn't in desperate need or anything, she still looked quite good, but it was more of a mental thing about not knowing where the girl was, where the hair was. There was both an up side and a down side to the fact that her precious flower was all grown up this time around: she didn't have to worry about the stress of raising her, but she could hardly lock her away either. Which meant that Viola was out in the world where she could get hurt, or worse, and Gwyneth wouldn't know until it was already too late. The thought of this possibility was enough to make her sick from worry.
So when she had finally wheedled Viola into coming by for coffee, insisting that all that instant crap she had been digesting just wasn't good for her, she was quite happy. As she went about straightening up the house, she was singing a little to herself, not the familiar incantation that evoked the power of the golden flower, but more along the lines of "Mother Knows Best." She had just finished wiping down the coffee table when she heard the doorbell rang.
"Comiiiiiiiiing!" She called in a bright, sing-song voice, quickly putting away her cleaning materials before moving to answer the door.
