Sometimes she felt like the ghost of him follows her where ever she goes as she was trying to reach the end of her journey, and it was almost comforting, but it hurt her at the same time. As soon as she reached Clayton, Bunny knew she was going to have to try to move on the best she could without him. It had felt like a long time already without him, she missed the way Hatter used to talk to himself, people thought he was batty but she knew better. She cared for him.
It had felt like an eternity just moving along and walking the long trek from Wyoming to Oklahoma but for real it most likely was pretty long, it was times like these that she missed moving veichles. The entire walk she did nothing but move by night and sleep by day to try to avoid other people, to protect herself, sometimes she noticed people moving about but never went near them out of slight fear of the unknown. Now that she was alone anything could have happened to her, and today moving by daylight she was taking something of a risk as she wasn't asleep now but walking. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind today and it was raining but at least it wasn't raining hard, the hood was up on her coat to try to keep herself dry while Bunny was carrying a black duffel, the strap on her shoulder. Just walking along she checked the map in her pocket as she walked, though was careful about tripping. Finally she was close to something near the town and her long walk was almost at it's end. For the next half hour it was nothing but walking until she began to see water.
All she could hear was the slight wind blowing against her and her sneakers against the road and as she began to see the lake and pier, the map told her that it was called "Sardis Pier." Some of the concrete of the path to the pier was a little broken with grass beginning to poke up through the cracks, and beginning to walk to the pier to see more of the view through the rain she thought this was the perfect time to see some of the scenery. Her coat was keeping her dry so she wasn't worried about catching a cold, for the past few days she's been sleeping in the wilderness. A day in the rain wasn't going to hurt her, she thought as she approached the slightly metal rusted bar that ran along the pier. It was after she had stopped to look out at the water that she saw a streak of lightening cross the sky, and thunder accompanyed the lightening. Bunny's eyes widened as she took her hand off the metal railing at that point, it would have been dangerous otherwise. "Holy shite.." Her voice being quiet, mostly saying it to herself since she thought she was alone in the rain.
