He scowled at Demeter's words and opened his mouth to claim he did not, but Zeus answered for him. Hades snapped his mouth shut and spoke no further on the topic. He would speak of it later though, and maybe just to Demeter. He knew it was stupid to bring it up but somehow he couldn't stop himself, he was oddly desperate to explain what he did, how it was good for Demeter.
Wordlessly he took Zeus' command (request? nudge?) and went with the change of topic.
"I have spoken to father in person," he said. Father, not Cronus. "You all know I have had more time to spend with him when he was so near my domain... I find there is much about him changed, but I understand concerns for what power he should retain, if any."
