“Imagine waking up in a child that remembered you as nothing more than a lame story in a boring book.” Thoth said with a soft chuckle as he slipped his arm around her. “I had no powers, no gifts, I could only see through his eyes at first. I’m surprised Samuel didn’t go nuts hearing my voice in his head given his age.” He tilted his head slightly before he gave a slow nod of his head. “Seshet is the only other I know of, but I believe they either haven’t awakened or just haven’t been able to bring themselves to this city yet.” Or didn’t understand there was a reason to be here, whatever that was.
“Or the damage to his reputation if it all came out.” Thoth rolled his eyes a little as he turned his head to the side ever so slightly as he listened to the voice in his head. “Samuel is grumbling that we’re talking about his sex life like he isn’t even here.” A soft chuckle as he turned his gaze back toward Ma’at and he smiled at her. “Oh, I’ll let him have his fun, as long as she proves useless, Ma’at. But I’ll always be there watching and waiting if anything happens. In truth, I’m more worried by what he might catch than what she might do. Girl is rather.. loose. But, I can counter any disease she might have.”
“The Christian God is the main god of this world, though a sizeable percentage of the population does not follow him. Muslims, the Hindu gods, not to mention the oriental beliefs.” He shook his head at that, though his lips did purse together in thought. What would happen to them if their vessels died, that was something he didn’t know. And something that warranted further investigation.
