Ma'at nodded in response to his reminder. She was still figuring out what was okay and what was taboo for the mortals. She knew secrecy was vital to keep Lucia out of the mental hospital but sometimes the ancient goddess forgot the rules. In her homeland she had no such restrictions and rules.
Lucia nearly screamed outright at her as she curled into Thoth's embrace, tilting her head to let him whisper in her ear. She shivered lightly, asking the vessel to go away nicely before she had to bend rules and shove her out all together. She had missed Thoth and reconnecting with him was vital, he might not have all of his powers back but he was still one of her 'family'. Mortals would not understand it and so she avoided that topic. Her relationship to Thoth was complicated.
"She is pouting because she knows I will not relinquish control until I am satisfied although I know she was definitely watching Samuel." Ma'at enjoyed teasing Lucia and often distracted herself by pushing Lucia into things that were outside of her comfort area like talking to strangers.
When the taxi pulled to a stop, Ma'at waited for him to pay before exiting the taxi. "Your vessel has done well for himself." She said as she looked around. "Your influence, no doubt."
