He smirked at her as he inclined his head slightly before he shook his head a little. “Yes, we wouldn’t want the Scales of Ma’at to be bored now would we?” Thoth said with a smirk. “Ammut would have been skulking about, and that was never a pretty sight.” Yeah, couldn’t let the judger of the sins get bored, one never knew just what might happen.
“Still proclaims to be a virgin? Or still is one?” Thoth arched an eyebrow as he considered her for a moment before he shook his head a little bit. “And no, I had nothing to do with my vessel’s discomfort.” Even still, he reached his hand forward to take the cup of coffee and to take a long gulp from it before setting the cup down. “There was a party at the Apostolos last night and he decided to go. And he decided to try and out drink another.” He shook his head at that. No, Thoth didn’t encourage him to drink, but he didn’t stop him either. “That family has some strange connection to us. If you have not visited their antique gallery, you should. They might have some item of yours. They had my book.”
“Hence why I have not yet. Even if I suspect she will be quite upset at me when she finds out, there are risks. The strings that connect travel farther than I have been able to see, and that alone concerns me.” Thoth had always been able to see what strings to pull in order to balance out the world, but some were more complex than others, and it was sometimes hard to see all possibilities. “But between us, I am certain we can figure it out.”
He gave her a wry smirk as he glanced back at her and inclined his head. “Familiarize our vessels?” He asked with a chuckle. “I would say that we should teach you tact, Ma’at, but I know that to be a lost cause. Mine is no stranger to the bed, and does find yours attractive, even if he is confused over the fact I told him Seshet was my wife, and that we were together as well. I suspect yours would disagree with that, if she is truly a virgin.”
