"It is always worth a try, darling." She could admit that her attempts to steer him in the direction she wanted never worked out quite how she wanted, he had an infuriating habit of knowing what she was trying to do before she did it. "What fun is seeing eye to eye about everything? I would be bored after a few days."
"He sounds like the vessel I would like to inhabit," She eyed his new body, shifting so her hand could drift along the length of his arm, feeling the muscles underneath. "I keep pushing Lucia to law, to something that would even out the chaos in this world but she resists." It was a source of frustration at times. Ma'at laughed, the sound light as he chastised his vessel. "And you had nothing to do with the state he is in right now? No late night indulgences?" She was smirking, the look in her eyes playful. "Imagine being trapped inside of a vessel who hates sex. Still proclaims to be a virgin."
Ma'at nodded at his description of Seshet, she would be back to look for the girl. She needed to make connections with everyone from home. She was ignoring Lucia's outrage about the fact she had told her business to a stranger. Except he was not a stranger even if Lucia disagreed. "Awakening them before their time might disturb the balance of the spell or magic. Whatever trapped us inside of these mortals. "
She leaned into him, "I have met several scattered throughout the city. But now that I know the three of us are here, I feel like a little more balance is being restored." She took just that moment to be selfish and revel in the strength of his embrace. Familiar. "We must familiarize our vessels, I do not intend on letting their mortal ideas about strangers and morals keep me from seeing you." The words were said quietly although she knew in New York City weirder conversations happened on a daily basis.
