Who: Abigail Campton/Aphrodite and Eros
Where: Ruby Foo's, Times Square
When: Friday Afternoon; 4/13/2012
What: With all of the offers to talk with Aphrodite, if anyone can have a level and calm conversation with her, it would be her son. It also helps that Abigail, herself, likes Eros.
Ruby Foos was one of Abigail's favorite places to go after rehearsals or for lunch meetings with any of her friends. The diner was always a home away from home, but as much as she loved the staff and patrons, she couldn't always live off diner food. The food was a bit pricey at Ruby Foo's, but it was worth every extra cent that she had.
She had placed the reservation under her name and made sure to message Eros with the information as well. It wouldn't do either of them any good if he couldn't find her. Granted, the restaurant wasn't nearly as crowded as it was during the early to mid-evenings. That was when the theater patrons would be out and about looking for places to grab a bite before heading off to their shows. One day, some day, they would be lining up to see a show that Abigail, herself, would be the marquee star for. She didn't know what show, or how long she would have to wait, but she knew it was going to become a reality one of these days. Until then, though, she would continue working in ensembles, as understudies, and work three and four shifts at the diner and take phone calls at Angels to continue living a semi-comfortable life.
Sliding into the booth that sat in front of the window looking out into the main drag of Time Square, Abigail ordered herself some hot tea while she waited for her lunch partner. She had been thinking about everything that she had stated to beings that had a ridiculous amount of power. Some were in the bodies of her friends while others were in the bodies of strangers. What would they do if they weren't happy with her words? Could they come after her? Could they send others after her? What if they wanted Aphrodite out of her body and in another body?
So deep in thought, Abigail didn't even realize the waitress had come back with her tea, asked if she wanted to wait, and then left again when she didn't receive an answer. She only pulled herself back to an alert state when she heard the restaurant door open, and glanced up to see if it was Eros.
