Lydia is used to hurting people's feelings. She is sometimes a tactless bitch and by sometimes she is most of the time. People tell her she is too harsh and speaks out of turn more often than not and mostly she ends up shrugging unapologetic about it. But when it's Reed and it's his face twisting in pain and his words rasped, thick and strangled, she suddenly cares too much.
So much that she twists on her heel and darts after him, tries desperately to catch him like she can somehow take back her words. But they were true, and even when she suddenly wraps her arms around him from behind she can't make them any less true. It hurts but what if he isn't meant to be with her?
