Sometime in the middle of the night, Neptune had taken over in responding to a number of people online, gods and their mortal hosts alike. Neptune surrendered eventually, leaving Reed exhausted, and he'd been a wreck in his lectures today. Students and staff kept asking if he was alright. Reed trudged through. He couldn't keep missing work.
It all left him looking like shit though, and it seemed he wasn't the only one. When he spotted Lydia in her pajamas, messy hair and red eyes, he wanted to put a gun to his head. Neptune caught wind of the thought and felt a flicker of alarm. Release her if you can't bear the guilt. Reed ignored the god.
He walked over to the couch and took a seat in silence. What the fuck did he do or say now? "I meant what I said.. about trying to fix this. I don't know if I can, but I'm gonna try. I have to. I can't deal with him anymore. But if I can't fix this.." he sighed and looked down, his fingers twisting painfully, "Then you should.. move on. I'm sure there are a hundred great guys out there who don't have assholes living in their heads and are just waiting for you to find them. Because you're so fucking amazing." And he loved her. He was sure of it. Because if he didn't, then this wouldn't hurt so bad. But telling her that would make this harder.
