Let's Start a J-Pop Band
Who: The Tokyo Trio (T., Lia, and Tali)
Where: Tali's home
When: Around lunchtime
The rest of the agents that lived in the same Agency-assigned housing as Lia and T. were used to their banter by now. They were pretty hard to ignore. For the most part, the arguing didn't start until AFTER breakfast but someone had eaten the last of Lia's Fruit Loops and there was one likely culprit (because the other agents were adult human beings who ate real food for breakfast). T., naturally, denied all such allegations because he was claiming complete innocence, even going so far as to cite his healthy physique as proof he would never eat sugar cereal (a bold-faced lie). Then there was the question of who ended up with the decoder ring in the box, and that was a whole other argument. They'd gone on until both of their grumbling stomachs had reminded them that (1) whether or not anyone had had breakfast, it was now nearing lunchtime and there was a whole new meal to consider, and (2) arguing was hungry work!
"I could make tonkotsu," T. had - in his mind - so graciously offered, but that had been turned down with immense disdain. He couldn't help it if his cover story was working in a ramen restaurant. And he'd never bothered to learn to make anything but the one perfect bowl of tonkotsu ramen to convince his mother he was doing what he said he was doing. They went back and forth on possible alternatives but none of it sounded appetizing, especially not any of T.'s go-to noodle shops.
At one point, Lia's newest adopted stray had been brought up and it was confirmed that she could cook. She didn't live too far from T. and Lia's so it only made sense that they should go bother her. A quick train ride and brisk walk later, the dynamic duo were finally at Tali's front door. T. let Lia ring the doorbell, and got ready to put on his best puppy dog face for Tali. The overall effect tended to be ridiculous, considering his size and stature but that didn't stop him from using it when convenient. Lia had long since become immune to any of its effects, but it still worked on some people who hadn't known him his whole life.
