Wolfsbane just needed to be outdoors sometimes; maybe it had something to do with her powers, but for some reason if she was inside for more than a few hours she longed for the sight of nature. It was one of the reasons she always slept with her window open. She needed that communion with nature to feel at home. She had been inside all morning, so she decided it was time for a walk, and where better than central park. She quickly changed into a pair of running shorts and a tank top that would allow her the freedom to move. Once she had her tennis shoes on and laced she grabbed her knapsack and rushed down the stairs and out the front door.
Once she was outside in the fresh air she let out a content sigh and took off at run for the park. This was just natural for her. It was as easy as breathing. Once she reached the park she turned down one of the tracks and headed for one of those out of the way destinations. It wasn't like she needed to be in one of those so called safe places. She could handle herself if need be and for her the further she was away from everything the better it would be.
When she reached an out of the way place she found a tree and walked over to it. She looked around her to make sure no one was watching and then she changed into one of her half lupine forms and darted up into the tree. She sat down on one of the more sturdy branches and leaned back against the tree trunk to relax. She opened her knapsack and pulled out one of her favorite books of poems. She opened it up to the marked page and began to read.
