After the weekend they'd had, Terry just needed to blow off some steam. She knew what she was getting into when she agreed to join and be one of the co-leaders of this team. Well, she mostly knew was she was getting into at least. There were always those little surprises that took her by surprise. Those stupid little details that she thought that she'd have a handle on. Like dealing the the media for example. She knew that it'd be a more public thing than she was used to. Then again considering her background, just about anything was more public than that. However, that wasn't quite the point. The point was, she realized about half way through this morning that she really did have a low tolerance for this kind of stuff. And she gave herself a little bit of credit for smiling and getting through it, but honestly, it'd been hell for her. She was going to have to talk to Alex at some point, because at one point, she was close to punching someone. At least she hadn't. At least Terry had taken that deep breath, counted to tend and screwed on that smile a little tighter and gotten through it.
But right now, all bets were off. It wasn't just the incident this morning that was eating at her. It was a lot of stuff that she'd seen as of late that she'd refused to really deal with that just sort of built up. And since Terry didn't feel like having a sit down heart-to-heart with someone she made her way to the training room and working through it that way. She'd set up a number of targets and was using her Sonic Blast to just...obliterate them. Each target that she destroyed made her feel a little bit better. Gave her something to focus on, get rid of whatever she was carrying around.
That and the bottle of whiskey she'd brought down here was helping too. The whiskey always helped. Might not be so great in the morning. But at this point in her life, she was used to it. The number of times she'd sat down with the bottle to just forget...she couldn't really count at this point. At least she wasn't sitting alone in the dark this time, right?
Terry let that thought go after setting the bottle down after drinking from it directly and hit the button to get the targets moving again. About half way through she heard the door open, and she didn't think, just reacted and sent a clumsy blast that way, since she was only half paying attention to where it was going at this point.
"Whatcha I tell yah about sneakin' up on me like that? Nearly took yer head off!" she said by way of apologizing, with a look to match on her face.
