thread: Aria/Adrian
Who: Aria and Adrian Where: Their Home When: Late Afternoon What: Conversing Rating: Low Open: No
Aria had sat uselessly throughout the Civil War watching through an AI camera and a television set as her fiancee took on people who had been his friends and such, before all of this. Her breath had hitched many times, she'd even shed some tears. She barely slept until he returned home after the War and even then she found herself laying awake touching him to make sure he was real. It had all felt so surreal, like it shouldn't have happened or that it didn't happen in places like this. It happened world's away where it didn't matter to them, not on their doorsteps. Last night she'd finally had a decent sleep hiding against Adrian's chest and listening to his heartbeat. Since the day the Town found out he was at War they'd been coming up here in loads bringing her food, supplies and everything else under the sun- someone had even set up a chicken coop outside; She laid there thinking about their generosity and that's how she fell asleep- with happy thoughts.
Then she'd woken in the mid-morning to Fluffy demanding food so she'd quietly left Adrian asleep and made her way downstairs to get the day started. She laid breakfast out for Fluffy and Einstein (Bruce and Betty's Puppy who had been turned up on Aria's doorstep a couple of weeks ago and since then been shy and reclusive) before showering in the downstairs bathroom and getting dressed in whatever was in the clean laundry basket not wanting to go back up and risk waking Adrian up. She'd made herself breakfast which could technically be called lunch before settling on the couch with Fluff sitting beside her and Einstein still in his corner.
Once she finished her food she paused the movie they were watching and went over to Einstein before picking him up (he was quite heavy for a little guy!) and bringing him over to the couch with her. She didn't know how to help him or what was going on behind those sad little eyes but she had tech writing itself which would hopefully help her with this. She settled back down with him in her lap and gently stroked him. Fluff nuzzled him now and again in a comforting way and all three lounged there watching television.
Aria soon got up and went to the dog bowls to find out that Fluffy had eaten both portions because Einstein had had no interest in the food. So she gave Fluffy some more food leaving him in the kitchen feasting and brought the other bowl with her back to the couch but Einstein was back in his corner! She sighed a little and sat down beside him, "You miss Mama aye?" She asked quietly gently touching his cheek. Aria could swear to God he nodded! She was quite shocked, "Can you eat please?" He turned his head away so Aria picked up the dog food and hand fed him, it was a slow and hard duty but at least he now had something in his belly. She knew Bruce was currently MIA possibly in Outer Space but no one knew where Betty was. The Police had said he'd found Betty's car near the airport but nothing on her whereabouts. Aria had an idea, "Do you know what happened to Mama?" He seemed to nod again as he quietly crawled into Aria's lap. Fluffy was perched on the couch watching and Aria was sitting on the floor with Einstein sitting in her lap and a dog bowl in her hand. She must look quite the sight talking to a dog.
