He opened his eyes and stared at the unfamiliar ceiling for a moment before sitting up. Huh. This was... weird. He didn't like weird. He unhooked his shotgun from the back of his armor and leapt to his feet, charging the first door he found with a roar, slamming through it and out into a hall. There was no one there to attack or question. If he'd been in the mood for talk at all.

He roared again and jogged down the corridor, grinning dangerously. Oh, when he found whoever had taken him, he was going to have FUN. They'd learn you don't fuck with a krogan, oh yes.

It started out like most mornings did for Shepard since she'd arrived here almost two months ago. Getting up, doing a few stretches to loosen up her muscles, throwing a set of comfortable clothes on. She ran with Alex each morning and it was doing her a lot of good. It made up for the lack of combat she saw, now that she wasn't fighting against the Reapers and Cerberus day in and day out.

A familiar roar and the distant sound of something being smashed through changed her plans, though. It wasn't on this floor but she would know the battle roar of a Krogan anywhere. She went for the elevator and guessed what floor she needed, punching the button and watching the doors close. When the doors opened on the floor she'd picked, she saw Grunt immediately; with his weapon out and a big grin on his face, Shepard felt slightly relieved that she had found him first.

"Grunt!"

She smiled, happy to see him despite the brief panic she felt at hearing the smash. "Nothing to destroy this time, big guy. We're on Earth, and there's no Reapers."

Shepard wasn't certain that drinking was a better choice then destroying, especially after the Citadel, but one problem at a time. Perhaps she should have put her armour on. "There are several downstairs," she replied, crossing her arms. "But you should know that no one here has ever seen a Krogan before."

Trust a Krogan to point out the unhelpful things, but Shepard just smiled and resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the young Krogan. The humans here were going to get quite a shock, but they would have to get used to it quickly. She'd been here for months, so it was likely that Grunt would be here that long too. "Alright. What type of fun are we talking about here?"

"I hate to break it to you, Grunt, but this place won't have ryncol," Shepard commented. "You'll have to make do with human alcohol."
