Andy was lost somewhere between awake and asleep when Adrian entered, but such was his state of mind, caught between a dream and horror, that he didn't even hear Adrian come in. The presence of another body went unnoticed, the soft clink of jewelrry being dropped into the box just melded into whatever it was Andy was dreaming-day dreaming. He only began waking up when the bed dipped and even then he didn't make a move, regardless of how exactly it felt like those nights so many years ago.
He felt the brush of lips against his skin but it did nothing. He felt empty. He sighed and closed his eyes again and waited for Adrian to nudge him up for the only thing he knew he could still do right.
