If anyone could adapt to anything fate threw at them, it would be Klaus. For a thousand years he had been forced to live a life on the run, constantly adapting and evolving to whatever lands into which he fled. Was this really so different? He was here, not by his own design, but that had been the case so many times before while his father pursued him relentlessly around the globe. He was a master at molding himself into whatever he needed to be in whatever location he found himself. In his old age, however, Klaus was no longer inclined to lurk in shadows, hidden from view and notice. Absolutely confident and in control of himself and his abilities, he moved about Naboo as if this had always been his home. Though a vampire, Klaus knew better than to simply roam about slaughtering innocent Naboo as if he had no concerns. That wasn't a sustainable lifestyle - time taught him that. Besides, Klaus preferred a finesse to his feeding habits. Slaughter was reserved to send messages and to satiate his rage. Not finding a snack.
He carried on as he always did, striding through the streets casually. It was time for a new food source - Klaus released the previous from her burden just the day before. His typical catch-and-release program seemed to be working best here. He would take a girl, compel her soundly, and then keep her in his home with him, taking what he needed. In a few days' time, he would release her with a compelled story for her whereabouts and life went on. This evening, he was on the prowl for the next meal.
Klaus finally decided on a pretty brunette, though as he approached he made the decision not to compel her to follow him home. He was busy lately with Caroline and her children, having to be mindful about some poor girl was something he'd rather not bother himself with. Walking up to her, Klaus flashed a predatory smile. "Hello, love," he drawled and quickly stepped into her personal space, a hand coming to rest at the back of her neck, making direct eye contact with her. "Don't scream. Don't fight," he said and quickly ducked them into a narrower, less populated walkway.
Out of the way, he didn't waste time. Klaus's eyes shifted, turning a feral yellow as the veins beneath them darkened. He crowded into her, bearing his fangs. "This will hurt," he growled before tipping his head and moving to sink his teeth into her neck.
