[it's not his first time regaining consciousness somewhere strange all bloodied up. It only takes him a few seconds of sore confusion before he leverages himself up and starts collecting the things scattered around the rooftop, sword and sheath. It's a few minutes before he tries his door and finds himself locked out. And it's less than half an hour before he's climbing resignedly down the outside of his building with one mostly broken hand and a badly cut arm to land silently on his balcony so he can break the glass open. It's not like a few more cuts are going to make a difference by this point]

	I would have thought you'd prefer a dog. [wheezing a little because the weight is killing her ribs, but the pain helps her wake up. She scratches the cats ears briefly before trying to shove him gently to the side] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

If I'd gotten my own, I probably would've. He's big enough to count, though.

[relaxes when it becomes apparent that she's not going to play rough with the cat, wiggling his fingers more authoritatively]

C'mon, Kouji, off. [looks amused when the cat pads unhurriedly over to rub his head against his fingers. It's better than lifting him off, which might've made him anchor himself to his warm perch with claws]

	[she lets her hand drop back to the bed and meets his gaze wordlessly, considering. She's in worse shape than he is, she's fairly sure; the broken bones aren't an issue but the bloodloss is, making her limbs feel too heavy to move. [raises an eyebrow at her, wincing a little as he shifts himself on the bed and accidentally puts weight on broken fingers again. He should probably go splint as much as he can, and clean up the sloppy but shallow cut running the length of his arm. He's had better days. Giving the cat a pat, he gets up again with a suppressed wince, heading towards the bathroom and the first aid cabinet]

Need any more bandages?

[takes his time scrubbing his arm clean, padding back in with the rest of the supplies, still tying off the bandage around his bicep with one end of the cloth between his teeth. He'll probably have to restock the kit after this. He dumps the things on the edge of the bed, unselfconsciously stripping off what's left of his shirt to assess other damage]

Dunno how we're scoring this, but I think we tied.
