Who: Marlene Aristades, Tobias Eaton, and Beatrice Prior When: Monday night Where: Some shady bar that doesn't card in Brooklyn What: Drinking!
For a Monday night, the bar was pretty crowded. Then again, it only took a couple of people to make this hole in the wall, Brooklyn bar look packed. It took a while for them to scope out a place that wouldn't card, and Tobias figured the more obscure, the better. He was also pretty sure that the owners weren't really American, which definitely hadn't hurt their odds.
After a round of drinks, Tobias figured it was time to introduce Tris to the world of shots. Everyone had to learn one day, after all. He made his way back from the bar to the cramped corner where they were sitting with three small cups about two inches high with a clear liquid inside. Tobias grinned at Marlene and Tris once he sat down and placed the glasses on the table. He wasn't really sure how experienced Marlene was when it came to this stuff- he made a point of not drinking with the younger Dauntless, knowing he'd end up their instructor one day, and seeing him drunk definitely made him seem less scary and intimidating, which really ruined about half of his training tactics. Tris, of course, he knew from growing up in Abnegation himself wouldn't know much about this, and so he decided to give them both a fair warning.
"Now, this isn't supposed to taste good," he said over the loud rock music emanating from the speakers above. "It tastes pretty awful, actually, it's more the effect you're looking for," Tobias explained. "So we say 'cheers' and swing it back as fast as we can."
