Berto working for SHIELD kind of made sense. Ken wasn't exactly sure what he wanted to do with himself here, the guys in suits seemed pretty adamant about him making a decision quickly, but, this wasn't something he could just jump into head first. Joining the Academy was more of an escape, he never really thought they'd be sent out on missions like they were, he never thought he'd go head-to-head with a god or a cluster of pretty elite bad guys. Surviving was more of an instinct than he ever could have imagined, and yet, he loved the team, he loved helping people, but SHIELD was always more of the babysitting big brother with eyes and ears everywhere. It was a little intimidating to him, and he knew he'd make a really lousy spy... So for now, he was going to milk his time for all it was worth.
"Oh yeah," he said, banking the correction to memory. There were so many heroes out there, he couldn't remember all of them. "Woah, hold the presses. The Wasp? As in THE Wasp? Pym's dead... " Maybe this was heaven after all if dead folks were running around. "Man, I'd love to get to meet her! Dr. Pym always made it seem like she was the greatest person to ever exist." Mettle continued to eat the pizza as she spoke. "Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate right now. Guess its best to keep busy... How'd you get into clubs? Fake IDs and everything?" Man, he was always going to miss out on cool stuff like that. Can't really find someone that looks like him for an ID. "Woah, with Deadpool? Isn't he insane? Huh. Never really took him for a theatre kinda guy, but I guess he's full of surprises."
Setting his plate down on the counter, Mettle went to work trying to open up the pull-tab of his can, tilting his head to the side when he realized his fingers were just too big to get a grip. Sighing, he held it out to Julie in quiet humility. "Who's the coolest person you've met? Like, who's here?"
