There are a lot of things I'd like to say to you today but I have no idea where to start. Usually I just blurt out whatever comes to mind but this didn't seem the right time for that so I'm putting some thought into it. Be proud.
Actually proud is a fitting word to use today because that's what I am. I'm proud of you. Proud that you stood up for what you wanted, proud that you're mature enough to realize that this is the right step to take and proud that you've chosen someone who is perfect for you. More than anything I'm proud of you for making a life here that makes you happy. I think we all have a love/hate relationship with that blue box but you and Rikki have been given a gift. It brought you together and gave you a chance at something that you wouldn't have had otherwise. A life together. I don't know how long that life will last but if there is any justice in this existence, it will last forever. The two of you deserve it.
The box gave me a gift too. It game you back to me. I'm not going to get all maudlin here and tell you how much I missed you and how kriffed up I was but having you here has made this place a whole lot easier. Just knowing that I can send you a text or go pound on your door or have you come pound on mine, I wouldn't trade that for anything. I love being able to talk to you about stuff, I love listening to you rambling about the Force even when sometimes I don't know what the hell you're talking about because we both know I don't do deep very well but you've made me think about things I wouldn't usually think about and through you I'm starting to understand all of it, the Force, being a Jedi, all that stuff, better.
Oh! And Legos. I can't forget the Legos. Lego therapy with you is the best thing ever. I hope we can still do that even when you're a married man.
Lastly before I start crying all over the keyboard like an idiot. Thank you for bringing Rikki into my life. I always wanted a sister (no offense to you or Jacen) and she has become that for me. Watching you guys together makes me happy. Watching you together makes me believe that love exists and you find it sometimes in the strangest places. I'm glad the two of you found it in each other.
