Dean Winchester was covered in grease and oil, his ribs ached, he was tired, but he was the happiest he’d been in a long time. Working with cars just felt right, even in this topsy turvy place. The job with Stark was going to be a good one, he could tell already, especially as his boss was probably the most awesome he could ask for. Tony wasn’t stepping on his toes every ten seconds checking up on him, which suited Dean just fine.
Stepping out of the elevator, he patted down his pockets, trying to locate the keys to his apartment. He supposed he should tag them onto Baby’s keys, but then that would mean he’d have to take them off everytime Sam wanted to borrow the car. Not that he could drive just then. A frown crossed his features at that thought, wondering when his kid brother would be able to do stuff like that again. He did have some movement back, but it wasn’t much.
Finally locating the keys, he turned the lock and pushed the door open. The place was quiet, something he still wasn’t used to, and he made a beeline for the stereo to get some music on. Next step would be to have a shower, but that plan was derailed when he caught sight of someone sitting quietly on his couch, making him start slightly.
“Dammit, Cas.” He blew out an exasperated sigh, “need to get you a bell or something.” Then it registered; Castiel, was right there. “Cas!” Two steps and he was pulling the Angel up off the couch and into a hug. “You’re here.”
