Cooking is more difficult than Gong Su made it seem. One would think that tossing meat, spices, and vegetables into water would be as easy as it sounds, especially considering how bland some of those stews were. Though I suppose that was the ingredients' fault and not Gong Su's. There is only so much one can do with kangaroo. My efforts on the grill have been more successul than the stove, although I am certain that I have ruined one of our pots. Are there special pots one must buy to use over fire?
I think that I shall also purchase some books when I go out to procure a new pot. While this device is splendid, my eyes are starting to hurt. Plus I do think it would be splendid to actually hold a book in my own hands and read it myself. Are there any specific novels I should buy? I do not suppose that anyone would know where could find a copy of PhilosophiƦ Naturalis Principia Mathematica. I should like to buy it so that I can have one until Laurence comes as well with our copy.
